About the role
ASR Collision is seeking an experienced
Automotive Panel Beater
to join our team in Cairns North, Queensland. This is a
Full-time or Contractor position
based at our facility, where you will play a crucial role in restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. As a Panel Beater you will be utilising your expertise to deliver high-quality panel work and ensure customer satisfaction. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern equipment and techniques whilst contributing to a professional and growing automotive services business.
Key responsibilities
Remove and replace damaged body panels using appropriate techniques and tools
Perform metal straightening and panel beating to restore vehicle shape and alignment
Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and hours spent on each vehicle
Adhere to health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment
Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met before handover
Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding repair progress and any additional issues identified
Able to work autonomously
Have good organisation skills
The ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain high standards at all times
What we're looking for
Proven experience as an Automotive Panel Beater or in a similar automotive body repair role
Advanced knowledge of metal work techniques, including panel beating, straightening and welding
Strong understanding of vehicle structural integrity and alignment principles
Ability to read and interpret damage assessment reports and work specifications
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues




Valid driver's licence and willingness to undertake test drives when necessary
Relevant automotive trade qualifications or certifications (preferred)
Experience with insurance claim requirements and procedures (advantageous)
