Role Description
The Traffic Management Planner is a full-time, on-site role based in Clayton, VIC. This role is responsible for preparing traffic management plans and documentation for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and client requirements. Day-to-day tasks include assessing project sites, designing safe and efficient traffic flow solutions, coordinating with project managers, field teams, and external stakeholders, and updating plans as conditions change. The planner will liaise with traffic controllers and operations staff to ensure that setups, pack downs,



and equipment deployment are aligned with approved plans and safety procedures. The role also involves reviewing risk assessments, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to continuous improvement in traffic management practices.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Transportation Planning and Planning to design and document safe, efficient traffic solutions.
Candidates should possess skills in Traffic Management and Mobility Management to coordinate on-site operations and maintain safe movement for road users and pedestrians.
Candidates should possess skills in Urban Planning to understand broader network impacts and integrate traffic plans within local and regional contexts.
Be TMD3 Qualified and with experience
Relevant traffic management accreditation or certification (e.g., traffic management planning tickets, controller qualifications) is highly desirable.
Experience working with road authorities, construction contractors, or similar infrastructure environments is beneficial.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills, with attention to detail in technical documentation.
Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and work on-site in varying conditions while maintaining a safety-first mindset.
Proficiency with traffic planning software, mapping tools, and standard office applications is an advantage.
