The Opportunity:
The Inventory Supervisor is an important role within our Jandakot DC, supervising all areas of the inventory operations to ensure timely processing in the system of all information relating to DC stock (including stock movements and deliveries). You will be responsible for all inbound transport enquiries, managing the accuracy of the timeslot allocation process, resolving any scheduling issues and escalate as required to the supply chain team. In this role you will be a people leader with the ability to develop and motivate our inventory team and continue to drive our People First culture.
Day to Day you will:
Manage inbound appointment scheduling to ensure safe, efficient workload distribution and unloading operations.
Monitor and review daily negative inventory and inbound variance reports, resolving variances within 24 hours and managing supplier returns for damaged stock within 48 hours.
Ensure accurate product slotting for new, promotional, phasing, and existing inventory, maintaining alignment between physical stock, JD Edwards, and WMS systems.
Report daily on damaged, on-hold, and adjustment stock, proactively managing short shelf life (SSL), stock rotation, and inventory damage to minimise loss.
Maintain compliance with all safety policies, procedures, PPE requirements, and near-miss reporting standards.
Lead, mentor, and engage Inventory Officers through CARES values while driving continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives across inventory operations.
About You:
Demonstrated inventory management experience within FMCG, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Warehouse environments, including multi-temperature operations.
Proven ability to engage, connect with,
and motivate diverse teams through inclusive leadership practices.
Results-driven with the initiative to achieve and exceed KPIs while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
Robust critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and complex operational challenges.
Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety, including Chain of Responsibility (CoR), HACCP, and FSSC food safety requirements.
Advanced analytical, numeracy, IT, and Microsoft Office skills, with strong attention to detail and data interpretation capabilities.
