Locum Physiotherapist - Residential Aged Care - Hervey Bay, QLD
About the Role:
An opportunity is available for a dedicated and motivated Physiotherapist to join an experienced residential aged care team in Hervey Bay, QLD for a 4-week locum placement from 16 November to 11 December. This role suits individuals passionate about delivering high-quality care and making a genuine impact in the lives of elderly clients.
The role involves providing treatment and developing management plans for clients with chronic conditions and musculoskeletal injuries. You will conduct manual handling assessments and evaluate clients' functional capacity to ensure safe care practices. Initial assessments will be completed to inform care planning and guide interventions, with clinical referrals prepared as needed for further medical or allied health support.
You will also facilitate community referrals, implement fall prevention strategies, deliver education on risk management to clients and staff,



and prescribe appropriate mobility aids and clinical equipment based on individual client needs.
Benefits:
$55 – $65 per hour + superannuation

About You:
Completed Physiotherapy tertiary degree (essential)
Full AHPRA registration (essential)
Previous aged care or residential care experience (preferred)
Solid communication and teamwork skills
Current driver's licence (essential)
Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current flu and COVID vaccination evidence
Medicare Provider Number (or willingness to obtain)
Eligible to work permanently in Australia
