Job Description
Senesi Family Trust Responsibilities
Examine dental prescriptions, impressions, models and digital scans to determine the technical requirements of each case.
Design and manufacture crowns, bridges, veneers and other fixed dental prostheses.
Produce complex implant-supported restorations, including implant crowns, bridges and full-arch restorations.
Build, shape and layer ceramic materials to achieve accurate anatomy, morphology, shade and aesthetics.
Complete staining, glazing, contouring, finishing and polishing of dental restorations.
Use dental laboratory equipment and digital technologies, including scanners, CAD/CAM systems and milling equipment.
Assess completed restorations for fit, occlusion, function, shade and overall quality.
Identify and resolve technical issues arising during the design and manufacturing process.
Communicate with dentists and other dental professionals regarding complex cases, technical specifications and desired outcomes.
Manage assigned cases independently and ensure all work is completed within the required timeframes.
Maintain accurate case records and comply with applicable workplace safety, infection-control and quality-assurance procedures.
Experience
At least five years of relevant experience working as a Dental Technician in a commercial dental laboratory.
Extensive experience manufacturing crowns, bridges, veneers and implant-supported restorations.
Demonstrated experience managing complex restorative and implant cases independently.
Advanced experience working with ceramic, zirconia, metal and composite materials.
Strong experience in ceramic layering, staining, glazing, contouring and finishing.
Experience using digital dental workflows, scanners and CAD/CAM technology.
A relevant qualification in Dental Technology or an equivalent field.
Skills
Advanced knowledge of dental anatomy, morphology, occlusion and restorative materials.
High-level technical ability and excellent attention to detail.
Ability to produce consistent, accurate and aesthetically pleasing restorations.
Ability to interpret dental prescriptions and technical instructions accurately.
Strong problem-solving and quality-control skills.
Effective communication, organisation and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to the wider laboratory team.
