Eight Willows Retreat
is looking for a motivated
General Manager
to lead its luxury accommodation, weddings and events business.
Eight Willows Retreat is the perfect location for family getaways, romantic staycations, magnificent weddings and all-encompassing corporate retreats. Deep in the heart of the Margaret River region and tucked away in the soaring white gums and native flora of the region, Eight Willows is an oasis of 27 luxury chalets set amongst 75 acres of natural bushland.
Since coming under new ownership in February ****, Eight Willows Retreat has embarked on an exciting new phase of investment, operational improvement and strategic growth. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future direction of one of the Margaret River region's premier boutique retreats.
General Manager Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of Resorts operations including and not limited to recruitment & training, revenue management, customer service, conference and events yield, accommodation profitability, achieving financial targets.
Motivate, guide and inspire an incredible team onsite by leading through daily practices, creating incentive plans and drive a guest centric focus to ensure the resort remains profitable
Identify, build and create strong relationships within the community and key stakeholders in the region to grow Eight Willows reputation and position within the area, fostering our connection with community
Business development and continually striving for innovation and improvements in facilities, assets, service offerings, and guest experiences to ensure prime positioning in market and excellent property maintenance
Drive the resorts financial KPI's through strategic revenue planning ensuring to retain profitability, exceed guests expectations and our teams high workplace satisfaction
Lead,
coach and develop a high performing team while fostering a culture centered on exceptional guest experiences, accountability and continuous improvement.
Build strong relationships with local businesses, tourism partners, suppliers and community stakeholders to strengthen Eight Willows' market presence.
Skills & Experience:
Proven past experience in a similar position, operating 4 to 5 star luxury retreats
Demonstrated solid leadership abilities, mentoring and inspiring teams
Able to work under pressure, with high skills in ability to identify and arrange competing priorities whilst not compromising guests experiences.
Experience with completing budget creation, interpreting P&L;'s, complete fortnightly forecasting, monitor revenue and key metric targets and able to make key decisions to or corrective actions to reach targets.
Confidence in operating, driving and monitoring all WHS issues, ensuring to build a strong WHS reporting culture within the team.
Ability to lobby and communicate with key stakeholders and board members to raise Capex requests and resolve issues in a timely manner
Incredible communication, decision making and time management skills
Able to flex and react appropriately in high-pressure situations
Experience with hotel PMS systems such as Little Hotelier, RMS, SiteMinder & Ivvy or similar systems desirable
Wedding and event venue management experience would be highly desirable
