What you'll be doing
Build trusted relationships with community groups, residents, volunteers and local organisations.
Identify community strengths, priorities and emerging needs through engagement and research.
Develop and deliver projects, programs and initiatives that strengthen community capacity, resilience and participation.
Connect communities with Council services, funding opportunities and external supports.
Contribute to the implementation of Council's Community Wellbeing Strategy and other initiatives.
Work collaboratively across Council and with community partners to deliver positive outcomes for Clarence.
What you'll bring
Qualifications in community development, social sciences, human services, public policy or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience in community development, community engagement or project delivery.
Solid understanding of place-based community development and community engagement principles.
Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent communication, organisation and project management skills.
National police check certificate dated within 6 months and a registration to work with vulnerable people in Tasmania.
