Cockburn Toyota is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our dealership in the role of
Senior Diagnostic Technician
.
Your responsibilities will include:
Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle faults
Performing advanced fault-finding using Toyota diagnostic equipment and software
Vehicle servicing and repairs across a range of makes and models
Acting as a technical point of reference for junior technicians and apprentices, providing guidance and mentoring where required
Following correct procedures when carrying out warranty work, including detailed diagnostic reporting
Ensuring commitment and compliance to OHS and other company policies
Contribution to reaching monthly customer satisfaction targets
What we are looking for:
Qualified Mechanics with substantial experience as a Diagnostic or Senior Technician
Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems, with proven advanced diagnostic ability
A current Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate or equivalent
Experience with Toyota diagnostic tools and systems highly regarded (or demonstrated ability to quickly upskill)




A current valid Driver's License
Ability to work autonomously, under pressure, and meet deadlines
Solid communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to service advisors and customers
Reporting to the Workshop Controller, you will work as part of a solid team, taking the lead on complex diagnostic work to ensure repairs are carried out at the highest standard and that customer satisfaction is always exceeded.
