Provide engineering expertise to manage the condition of NCIG's structural and civil infrastructure throughout the life of the terminal, maximising plant availability while ensuring safety and environmental compliance.
Reporting to the Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity, reliability and performance of our civil and structural infrastructure. Working collaboratively across Engineering, Maintenance, Operations and Projects, you'll combine your technical expertise with sound engineering judgment to undertake detailed investigations, structural assessments and technical calculations. You'll analyse complex engineering challenges, prioritise repair and improvement solutions, and provide trusted technical advice that maximises plant availability, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance.
This is a collaborative role requiring strong stakeholder engagement, clear communication and the ability to influence practical outcomes. Working with internal teams, specialist consultants, contractors and equipment manufacturers, you will deliver safe, commercially sound engineering solutions while contributing to long-term asset management strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key accountabilities will include but are not limited to
Manage the condition and integrity of structural and civil assets across the terminalConduct inspections, engineering investigations and structural assessmentDevelop, prioritise and support the delivery of asset repairs and improvement projectsProvide technical advice and engineering support to maintenance, operations and project teamsLead and contribute to asset integrity,
reliability and continuous improvement initiatives including developing strategies for aging assetsCoordinate contractors and consultants to ensure protected, compliant and cost-effective outcomesPrepare engineering reports, designs, calculations and technical documentationSupport budgeting, planning and long-term asset management programsChampion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with environmental and legislative requirementsBuild collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver engineering excellence
