An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a major organisation delivering one of Australia's most significant long-term infrastructure programmes.
This organisation is investing in innovative construction and manufacturing solutions to support large-scale infrastructure delivery and drive industry transformation.
As part of a nationally significant initiative, you will play a key role in establishing a new advanced manufacturing facility focused on contemporary methods of construction, digital manufacturing, automation and productivity improvements across major infrastructure projects.
Your new role
As Project Director, Advanced Manufacturing Facility, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the planning, procurement, design, construction, commissioning and ongoing operation of a large-scale advanced manufacturing facility.
Reporting to a senior executive team, you will lead the delivery of a complex programme that integrates advanced manufacturing technologies, automation and modular construction solutions.
You will be responsible for ensuring strong governance, stakeholder engagement and commercial outcomes while fostering innovation and workforce capability development.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the strategic direction and operational management of the facility
Overseeing facility planning, design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities
Managing complex contracts, commercial arrangements and delivery partners
Driving the integration of manufacturing systems, automation, robotics and digital technologies
Embedding governance,
risk management and assurance frameworks
Building strong partnerships with industry, research institutions and training providers
Supporting workforce capability development and future skills programmes
Promoting a culture of safety, quality, inclusion and continuous improvement
Providing executive-level reporting and strategic advice to key decision-makers
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring a demonstrated track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure, industrial, manufacturing or major project environments.
You will also possess:
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline
Experience leading the delivery of complex facilities from concept through to commissioning
Strong knowledge of advanced manufacturing, modular construction or modern methods of construction
Experience managing major procurement activities, commercial contracts and delivery partnerships
Exposure to robotics, automation, digital manufacturing or advanced production environments
Strong stakeholder management skills across government, industry and executive leadership groups
Exceptional leadership, communication and strategic decision-making capabilities
A strong focus on safety, quality, governance and risk management
