The Department for
Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people
and places in South Australia by managing roads, marine and public
transport networks across the State, and builds and maintains the
State-owned infrastructure that enables the delivery of essential
and important government services to our
community.
The
OpportunityThe Pavement Marking
Program Officer undertakes compliance monitoring, data collection
and audit coordination to support safe and effective pavement
marking outcomes. The role contributes to program planning,
reporting and continuous improvement, including standards and
specifications. Working across contract management activities, the
position supports analysis, progress payment verification and the
adoption of new technologies to deliver quality, sustainable
statewide maintenance services.
About
you You bring contemporary
technical knowledge and experience in maintenance program
development, contractor interface and performance management. You
demonstrate strong analytical and research skills, with the ability
to provide sound advice and prepare clear reports under tight
deadlines. You operate effectively under general direction,
prioritising work and delivering outcomes. Your well-developed
communication and stakeholder engagement skills support
collaboration, negotiation and the application of quality, risk and
legislative requirements.
This role is a dual call
and is being advertised at the PO2, TGO4, and ASO5 classification
levels, in which the successful applicant will be appointed at the
classification level commensurate with their skills and
experience.
Educational
Qualifications / Licences
PO2:
Degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant engineering
discipline is required.
TGO4:
A relevant Diploma or Advanced Diploma or recognised
qualification approved as being appropriate to the
Construction/Engineering Career group, including engineering
design/ drafting, estimating/specifications, construction and
support, road construction and/or maintenance, traffic
management and road safety auditing.
A current drivers'
licence is essential.
Special
Conditions
A National Police
Check (NPC) is required prior to employment with the Department
for Infrastructure and Transport and is required to be renewed
every three years.
Some out of hours and
weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring
overnight stays, may be required.
Remuneration
PO2 - $94,769 to
$109,787 pa + superannuation.
TGO4 - $97,996 to
$102,456 pa + superannuation.
ASO5 - $92,122 to
$102,456 pa + superannuation.
