Job description
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is an experienced nurse who, within the defined area of practice:
Works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and other senior staff, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.
Assists the NUM with the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of the day to day patient care activities, including patient flow.
The Team
The ANUM Pool works within the Pool Office team consisting of Nurse Unit Manager, Associate Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Coaches and Staffing Support Officers.
The Pool Office Team supports up to 600 permanent and casual Nurses, Midwives, Patient Safety Assistants, Ward Clerks and Hospital Aides to ensure that they are well prepared to provide patients and clients with excellent care when accessing services in Northern Tasmania.

The Role
The ANUM, Pool supports the Nurse Unit Manager in the recruitment, employment, onboarding and ongoing support of the approximately 600 employees in the Pool, LGH.
ANUM responsibilities include leadership of the Staffing Support Officer Team on a daily basis, chairing selection processes, monitoring of core learning and mandatory requirements,



supporting learning and performance improvement plans, career planning for employees and responding to both predicted and unpredicted staffing needs within THS North.
You will need
Enjoy working in a fast-paced setting and responding to changing priorities
Have experience in supporting employees with varying experiences, backgrounds and roles to develop skills and knowledge that will benefit the health and wellbeing of the Northern Tasmanian community
Demonstrate the attributes of Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence as per the THS CARE values
Details of appointment
Permanent, part time, day worker position, working up to 24 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join us.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
Salary $109,767 to $115,813 per annum (Pro rata).
Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement ****.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type Salary Packaging
