An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll Team Leader to join a reputable business within the mining services industry.
This is a newly structured leadership position, offering the opportunity to lead a small team and take ownership of a complex, high-volume payroll function.
About the Role You will lead a team of 2-3 payroll professionals , overseeing payroll operations across multiple entities and pay cycles.
Key responsibilities include : Leading, supporting and developing a small payroll team.
Managing weekly and fortnightly payroll cycles.
Overseeing multiple entities and pay runs.
Working across a leading payroll/ERP platform.
Managing payroll processes that vary in complexity, including some more manual environments.
Maintaining strong payroll governance, compliance and controls.
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
Partnering with internal stakeholders across the business.
About You We are looking for a strong and experienced payroll professional who is ready to step into a leadership role and make an immediate impact.
You will ideally have:



Significant end-to-end payroll experience within a complex environment.
Strong experience with large payroll systems such as Chris21, Dayforce, PayGlobal or similar .
Previous team leadership experience.
The ability to work confidently across both automated and more manual payroll processes.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of payroll accuracy.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive approach with the ability to lead through change and a newly structured team environment.
