Due to a number of exciting current Engineering design and development projects, Australian Rail Technology (ART) is seeking applications from Engineers working in the field of Rail - Infrasturcture and Rolling Stock.Successful applicants will be located in our Sydney office (with Work From Home available 2-3 days a week) as part of our growing and experienced engineering team. We currwently have two Sydney offices, located in Prestons and Asquith. Your ability in the design of mechanical devices will see you succeed in delivering a program of works as part of a terrific team. Through your ability to assimilate technical information and keen eye for detail, you will demonstrate your capabilities.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Produce designs, technical specification, test plans and procedures, drawings, and other design documentation within your competencies.
Day to day project management of a technical project, acting as the point of contact, liaising with the customer, managing suppliers,



attending sites.
Produce project documentation as per the requirements of the project. As well as design documents and drawings, this may include O&M; manuals, user guides, project management plans, project schedules, cash flows, monthly project reports, etc.
Developing product concepts and tender responses as required. This may include preparing proposals, budgeting, providing technical input, developing design concepts, etc.
Produce system development lifecycle documents including operational concepts, requirements, verification and validation.
Participating in internal and external project quality audits.
Provide technical support to production, quality and sales as required.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
Bachelor of Engineering (recognised in Australia, minimum 4 year course) – Mechanical, or equivalent.
Rolling stock component experience is an advantage.
Infrastructure component experience is an advantage.
Experience in CAD (any package) is an advantage.
Experience within a design or manufacturing environment is an advantage.
'Hands on' ability is an advantage.
Experience in product development lifecycle is an advantage. i.e. 'V-model'
Strong in MS Office skills and report writing is required.
Proven ability to form strong relationships is required.
Knowledge of wiring and schematic capture is an advantage.
Knowledge of Rail Systems standards – EN***** and related EN***** and EN*****, is an advantage.
Project management or project coordination experience is an advantage.
