This role will be primarily providing engineering support to the Underground and Utilities (site infrastructure) departments on site.
Candidates will be required to work underground from time to time.
Experience with high voltage distribution up to 33kV, hoisting, and dewatering will be highly regarded for this role.This role is full time on a 8/6 FIFO roster.As an Electrical Engineer – Underground and Utilities, you will be responsible for:Supporting the Senior Electrical Engineer in keeping Underground and Utilities operations running smoothly.Review and approve electrical designs, reports, and drawings with confidenceIdentify and manage reliability risks before they become real problemsLead investigations into breakdowns and deliver meaningful root cause analysisProvide expert advice on electrical safety, compliance, and engineering standardsDeliver practical, cost-effective solutions that actually work in the fieldMaintain configuration systems and ensure documentation stays sharp and accurateDrive improvements through fault finding, failure analysis,



and innovative thinkingDevelop scopes of work and repair strategies that get resultsSupport shutdowns and keep critical work on trackReview condition monitoring reports and turn insights into actionAbout YouElectrical Engineering degree (recognised by Engineers Australia)Solid understanding of Australian standards and legislationExperience in high voltage distribution and underground hard rock mining is desireableWorking at Heights & Confined SpaceC Class Driver's LicenceAbout Telfer OperationsTelfer is a long-life gold-copper mine in the Paterson Province of Western Australia's East Pilbara region.
The operation includes both open-pit and underground mining and Australia's third-largest gold-copper processing facility.
Since commencing production in ****, Telfer has produced over 15 million ounces of gold.
