About the Role
Takwood Industrial Services is seeking skilled tradespeople — Sheet Metal Workers, & Laggers — to join our team across maintenance, shutdowns, and project work.
These are site-based roles, suited to individuals who thrive in fast‐paced industrial environments and take pride in delivering quality workmanship.
You will work across Gladstone-based projects as well as site-away work on a FIFO/DIDO basis, playing an integral role in the successful delivery of our industrial operations.
What You'll Be Doing
Depending on your trade, responsibilities will include:
Fabricating, installing, and maintaining sheet metal components including ductwork, piping, and tanks
Applying insulation materials (lagging) to equipment and pipework for thermal, acoustic, and fire protection
Working collaboratively with project managers and other trades to ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion of work
Maintaining a safe, tidy, and organised work environment in line with site and company safety systems
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Workers, and Laggers, ideally within the heavy industrial sector
Strong technical skills with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
High attention to detail, strong problem‐solving skills, and excellent hand‐eye coordination
A strong commitment to workplace health,



safety, and quality
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Relevant trade qualifications and tickets, such as:
Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or equivalent)
White Card
Working at Heights
EWP(desirable)
Forklift (desirable)
