Noodle Bar is a well-established Asian-style restaurant chain operating across the ACT and surrounding regions.
As our business continues to grow steadily, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Cook to join our friendly team at our Belconnen location.Position Description – CookAs a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, seasoning and cooking food in accordance with our menu and quality standards.We are looking for someone who can work minimum 20 hrs.Monday 4:00-9:15pmTuesday 4:00 -9:15Wednesday 10:30-4:00 pmThursday 10:30-4:00 pmWeekends depending on rosters.Your duties will include:Preparing, seasoning and cooking menu itemsMonitoring cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is prepared to perfectionWashing,



peeling and cutting meat and vegetables ready for cookingReceiving and examining food supplies to ensure quality and quantity standards are metStoring food in temperature-controlled facilities and monitoring food quality and shelf lifeEnsuring cooking equipment is maintained in a clean and reusable conditionMaintaining kitchen cleanliness and an organised workspaceCollaborating with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experienceReporting to the manager regarding workflow, equipment, food safety and workplace safety mattersSelection CriteriaTo be successful in this role, you must have:Wok Skills (Desirable but need to learn)Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standardsA genuine passion for food and hospitalityAbility to work in a quick-paced team environmentIf you are an experienced Cook looking to grow your career with a supportive and expanding restaurant group, we encourage you to apply.Please submit your resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.Pay: $***** – $***** per hourAbility to commute/relocate:Belconnen ACT ****: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Experience:Kitchen: 1 year (Preferred)Work Authorisation:Australia (Required)Work Location: In person
