Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced HR Officer to create and deliver customized training videos and modules and facilitate conflict resolution where needed.
We are looking for someone who can join and support our team of around 50 staff and 20 regular volunteers.
This role offers:
12-month fixed term contract for maternity cover available from the 1st of September ****
Part-Time role offering a minimum of 32 hours per fortnight
Two 8-hour days per fortnight in person on site at Maru
At least 16 hours per fortnight of flexible remote hours

Tasks and Responsibilities
· Implement new HR policies and procedures including OH&S; training and further customized training for both the hospitality and animal park staff
· Creation of new training modules for both in person training and online video tutorials
· Training and support of managers to optimize team performance
· Address and achieve conflict resolution where needed
· Make recommendations and provide advice on HR training software and online platforms for Hospitality and Park sections.
· Liaise with IT and create an online training feedback platform.
· This role does not include payroll tasks as they are performed by other staff
· The primary role will be around training and the ability to provide conflict resolution if and as needed
· A secondary supporting role only for the tasks of recruitment, onboarding and induction and overseeing managers to facilitate team performance management and reviews
Essential Criteria
· Evidence of at least 3 years' experience in a HR staff Training and Development role
· Conflict resolution experience
· Knowledge of the Fair Work Act, modern awards and workplace health and safety compliance laws and regulations
· Effective communicator with strong written, verbal and computer skills
· Knowledge and experience using suitable software for creating video tutorials and training assessments
· Ability to fully create online presentations and video training modules including the editing and creation of appropriate videos, images and audio as needed and evaluate their effectiveness
· Driver's license as public transport to our region is limited
· National Police check or willingness to obtain one
· Must have and provide evidence of Australian work rights
