About the roleB&W; Civil is seeking a Drainer Offsider / Labourer to join our team on a full-time basis in Perth.
This role is fundamental to supporting our drainage operations and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
As an Offsider, you will work alongside experienced drainers, providing essential support on-site whilst developing valuable skills in the drainage and trades industry.

Key responsibilities
Assisting experienced drainers with the installation, maintenance and repair of drainage systems
Preparing and maintaining work sites, including excavation, ground preparation and safety protocols
Handling and transporting materials, tools and equipment to and from job sites
Following site safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organised work environment
Supporting pipe laying, fitting and connection work under the guidance of senior team members
Assisting with trenching, backfilling and compaction work as required
Carrying out general labouring duties to support project completion
Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure work progresses smoothly
Learning drainage techniques and best practices through on-the-job training and mentoring
What we're looking for
A strong work ethic, reliability and commitment to health and safety on construction sites
Physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions
Willingness to learn and develop skills in drainage and construction trades
Basic understanding of drainage systems and construction practices (or willingness to develop this knowledge)




Good communication and teamwork skills to work effectively alongside experienced tradespeople
A current, valid driver's licence and own transport
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to site safety requirements, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Preferred: Previous experience as a labourer or offsider in construction, drainage or related trades
Preferred: Completion of First Aid training or similar health and safety qualifications
