Job DescriptionSAI GROUP OF BUSINESSES PTY LTD About the Role Premier Hotel Pinjarra is looking for a talented and reliable Chef to join our kitchen team.
This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in plate presentation, kitchen efficiency, and maintaining a positive team environment under pressure.
Key Responsibilities Menu Execution: Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Kitchen Operations: Manage service during peak periods (lunch and dinner) to ensure timely delivery of orders.
Food Safety: Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP) across all workstations.
Inventory Control: Assist with stock ordering, rotation (FIFO), and minimizing wastage to meet food cost targets.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Front of House team and the Head Chef/Manager to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
Training : Provide training to junior kitchen staff Requirements & Qualifications Education: Diploma of Hospitality Management.
Experience: Previous experience in a high-volume commercial kitchen (1 year at least).
Technical Skills: Proficient in various cooking techniques, knife skills, and grill/larder management.
Attributes: Robust work ethic, ability to multitask, and a "can-do" attitude.
Remuneration Salary Range:



$75,000 – $85,000 per annum (plus superannuation), depending on experience and skill level.

About Company The Premier Hotel was built in **** by a gentleman named Edward McLarty.
He bought the mail coach run between Perth, Bunbury and Vasse in **** from the then government.
When the railway was opened in ****, Edward auctioned off the mail coaches and subsequently built the Premier Hotel.
Edward McLarty was the father of Sir Duncan Ross McLarty, a decorated war hero and former Premier of Western Australia from ***********.
The original building was built with two storeys with a single storey wing at the rear.
It stands in spacious grounds on the right bank of the Murray River and corner of South West Highway (formerly George Street) and Williams Road.
The second storey was built with a large L shaped veranda that faced both roads.
The first floor veranda was covered by a bull nosed tin roof and featured an ornate balustrade with valances and brackets between each wooden post.
A large entablature, rendered with cement and adorned with the name Premier Hotel, topped the building.
