About the role
Indozest Fusion is a well-established restaurant renowned for serving continental cuisine.
We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Chef and Cook to join our growing kitchen team.
Key responsibilities
Plan, prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes as per the menu.
Develop and update menus in consultation with management
Maintain consistency in food quality, taste and presentation
Supervise kitchen staff and allocate daily duties
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
Monitor food preparation and cooking techniques to ensure quality standards are maintained
Estimate food requirements and control food costs
Order food supplies and liaise with suppliers
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
About you
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
Minimum one Year relevant experience as a Chef
Excellent organisational and leadership skills
Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment
Strong understanding of food safety standards

Key Responsibilities- Cook
Prepare and cook authentic dishes as per the menu.
Prepare ingredients, sauces, marinades and spice blends.
Operate grill and other commercial kitchen equipment where required.
Ensure meals are prepared and served in a timely manner.
Maintain food quality, consistency and presentation.
Monitor stock levels and notify management of ordering requirements.
Store food safely and rotate stock in accordance with food safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations and equipment.
Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
Assist the Chef with menu preparation and daily kitchen operations.
Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff during busy service periods.
Essential Requirements
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
One Year Experience as Cook
