ABOUT PULSE
Pulse is an Australian-owned software company established for more than 35 years.
Pulse Vantage is a complete management system with six fully integrated or standalone modules.
Pulse is utilised across the mining industry and various other sectors.
Our ongoing efforts to enhance existing systems, along with frequent new product releases, are driving the company's vision to develop, improve, and evolve its world-class ERP software, analytics, and mobility platforms through the integration of emerging technologies.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Pulse is seeking a Senior IT Administrator to join our IT Administration team and help keep the infrastructure behind Pulse ERP running securely and reliably.
Reporting to the Client Experience (CX) Lead, you'll work as a key member of the IT Administration team, contributing to the server setup, configuration, and management that keeps Pulse ERP and our broader business operations running.
This isn't a management role, but it's not a pure helpdesk role either — you'll develop deep technical expertise across servers, security, networking, and virtualisation, with a explicit line of sight to more senior responsibility as you grow.
What You'll Be Doing (And loving!):
Contribute to server setup, configuration, and day-to-day management across the Pulse infrastructure environment
Support IT security best practice — monitoring, access controls, compliance, and vulnerability response
Assist with network, virtualisation, backup, and disaster recovery to keep systems secure and always-on
Partner with the Support Module Lead and Product teams to align infrastructure with ERP support needs

Liaise with vendors and external service providers to support infrastructure delivery
Act as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues within the support team
Apply ITIL-aligned service management practices across incident, problem, and change management
Engage with Pulse's AI-powered tools as we drive automation and continuous improvement across the IT function
Technology Environment
You'll be working across a broad infrastructure stack supporting ERP operations in the mining and resources sector, including:
Windows Server environments — setup, configuration, and virtualisation platforms
Backup and disaster recovery, on-premises and cloud-hosted infrastructure, server patching and monitoring
IT security and compliance, identity and access management, security monitoring and alerting
Network infrastructure, Wi-Fi, DNS and DHCP, Microsoft 365 and Azure
What Makes You a Great Fit:
Solid hands-on experience with Windows and Linux Server environments — setup, configuration, and ongoing management
Working knowledge of IT security principles — access controls, monitoring, and vulnerability management
Exposure to network infrastructure, virtualisation, and enterprise backup or disaster recovery practices

Experience in a managed services or complex enterprise support environment
Strong troubleshooting capability and a genuine ownership mindset
Good communication skills — able to translate technical issues for non-technical stakeholders
ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management awareness
Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Azure, or similar) highly regarded
Experience in the mining or resources sector is a strong advantage — but not essential, we'll train you on Pulse ERP
This Role Is Not for You If...
You're looking for a pure helpdesk role with no infrastructure exposure.
This is a hands-on technical role — whether you're building your infrastructure skills or already operate at a senior level, you'll be contributing to a high-performing team and real infrastructure ownership, not just closing tickets.
Why Pulse?
This isn't just another job — it's a full-time, permanent gig at a company that cares about your growth and happiness.
We'll train you on all our modules, help you sharpen your skills, and support your career journey — including a clear pathway toward senior infrastructure and leadership roles.
Plus, enjoy fantastic perks like weekly fruit baskets, free coffee, a state-of-the-art gym, pinball, golf simulators, gaming zones, and a chill lounge to unwind.
Who You Are: A curious, driven, team-oriented individual who values integrity, quality, innovation, and growth — just like us!
If you're ready to step into a role with real ownership, real relationships, and real impact — whatever stage of your infrastructure career you're at — we'd love to hear from you.
