The Opportunity
Due to a solid and growing pipeline of works, we are seeking a proactive and site-focused HSE Officer to support the implementation of workplace health and safety systems across our construction projects.
This role suits someone who enjoys being out on site, working closely with project teams, and contributing to a strong safety-first culture through practical, hands-on support.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of HSE policies, procedures, and systems across construction sites,
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance,
Assist with incident, injury, and near-miss investigations, including reporting and corrective actions,
Monitor subcontractor and contractor compliance with HSE requirements,
Maintain HSE documentation, registers, and records,
Provide practical HSE advice and support to site managers, supervisors,



and workers,
Promote safe work practices and encourage proactive hazard and incident reporting,
Assist with emergency preparedness and response procedures on site,
Other duties as requested by the HSE Manager.
About You
Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (preferable),
General Construction Induction Card (White Card (essential)),
Previous experience in a HSE or safety role within the construction or civil industry,
Working knowledge of HSE legislation and site-based safety practices,
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage site teams at all levels,
Organised, proactive, strong attention to detail and comfortable working across multiple sites,
First Aid, Asbestos Awareness, and Silica Awareness training (essential).
