Disability Support Worker (Casual Sleepover Shift)Location: Mareeba, QLD (Travel allowance available for the right candidate travelling from Cairns.)Join a nurse-led team where you're genuinely valued.New Heights Nursing & Disability Services is a family-owned, nurse-led NDIS provider supporting participants throughout Cairns and the Tablelands.As we continue to grow, we're looking for compassionate, reliable and motivated Support Workers who are passionate about making a genuine difference in people's lives.Unlike larger providers, we pride ourselves on knowing our staff personally.
You'll receive ongoing support from Registered Nurses, have direct access to management, and become part of a close-knit team that values communication, professionalism and high-quality care.About the RoleYou will provide person-centred support to NDIS participants in their homes and within the community.
Every participant is different, so no two days are the same.Your duties may include:Personal care and assistance with daily livingCommunity access and social outingsMeal preparation and light domestic assistanceTransport to appointments and activitiesMedication assistance (where appropriate)Manual handling and mobility assistanceSupporting participants to achieve their goalsCompleting accurate progress notes and documentationWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is:Compassionate and genuinely enjoys supporting othersReliable and punctualA strong communicatorProfessional in their presentation and attitudeAble to work independently and use initiativeFlexible with availability,



including mornings, evenings and weekendsWilling to travel throughout Cairns and the Tablelands when requiredPreferred ExperienceExperience in one or more of the following is highly regarded:Disability SupportAged CareCommunity CareNursing or Allied HealthMental Health SupportHigh-intensity supports (desirable but not essential)A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or a related qualification is highly regarded but not essential for the right candidate.Essential Requirements✔ Current First Aid & CPR Certificate✔ NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)✔ Queensland Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)✔ National Police Check✔ Current Australian Driver Licence✔ Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance✔ Valid Australian working rightsWhy Join New Heights?
