About Us
Flow Defence Pty Ltd is an Australian company specialising in the design and manufacture of self-activating and manually operated flood barriers.
With over 10 years of experience and installations across Australia, we are focused on practical engineering, product quality, and continuous improvement.
We are looking for an experienced Factory Process Worker to join our team in Warana, QLD.
This is a casual role with regular weekly work available, from a minimum of 4 days per week up to 5 days per week.
About the Role
This role is suited to a reliable and skilled fabricator who takes pride in accurate work, can interpret drawings and measurements, and is comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
You will assist with the fabrication, assembly, and preparation of flood barrier systems in our workshop, with occasional site visits, deliveries, and installation support as required.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricating flood barrier products and components of various sizes
MIG welding and general metal fabrication
MR licence pickups and deliveries
Operating processing machinery, including cutting and assembly equipment
Using hand tools and power tools safely and accurately
Interpreting workshop drawings, specifications, and measurements
Completing assembly and production tasks to a high standard
Driving the company truck for deliveries, pickups, and site work as required
Identifying and reporting manufacturing issues or defects
Completing basic job documentation
Keeping the workshop clean, organised, and safe
Assisting with general factory duties and manual handling tasks

What We're Looking For
Essential:
Current MR driver's licence
Reliable transport
General MIG welding experience
Previous experience in fabrication, industrial manufacturing, or construction
Ability to fabricate small and large components
Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings
White Card
Good attention to detail
Physically fit and willing to perform manual handling duties
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Australian permanent resident or citizen with unrestricted work rights
Must be physically fit and willing to perform manual handling duties
Desirable (Not Required, but a Bonus!):
Forklift licence
Experience with site installation work
Experience working with aluminium or steel fabrication
CAD experience
