The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic, visionary, and student-focused Assistant Head of Junior School - Student Life and Wellbeing to join our Junior School Leadership Team.
This is a 5-year tenured leadership position, reporting to Head of Junior School, commencing in January ****.
As Assistant Head of Junior School - Student Life and Wellbeing, you will be instrumental in leading the pastoral care, wellbeing, and student life programs across Reception to Year 5.
You will work closely with leadership and staff, providing vision and fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every student, staff member, and family feels valued, respected, and included.
The Assistant Head of Junior School - Student Life and Wellbeing will:
Lead and manage the Junior School pastoral care, wellbeing, and Student Engagement and Relationships programs
Lead and oversee the Junior School Student Leadership Program, including Community Captains and Pedare Student Voice (PSV)
Manage the daily operations of the Junior School, including event coordination, daily rosters, scheduling, and TRT allocation
Demonstrate a commitment to the Christian ethos and values of the College
Support student transition programs entering and exiting the Junior School, as well as the Outdoor Education Program
Demonstrate high-level interpersonal and communication skills in partnering effectively with staff, students, and parents
Serve as the Junior School representative on the College Work Health & Safety (WHS) Committee
Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to personal career development and reflective practice
What we need:
Proven school leadership experience commensurate with the role
A current Teacher Registration Certificate in South Australia (or eligible to be registered in South Australia)
A current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN) Certificate
A current South Australian Working With Children Check (WWCC)
All certificates and qualification(s) must be provided to the College prior to commencement of employment.
