We're looking for an experienced
casual chef
to join our kitchen team at Mason & Bird in Kalamunda for approximately
20 hours per week
.
We're a busy, established café serving quality breakfast and lunch, and we're looking for someone who is confident in a fast-paced kitchen, works well as part of a team and genuinely cares about the food they send out.
About the role
This is a casual position averaging around
20 hours per week
, with a mix of weekday and weekend shifts.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch dishes
Working confidently during busy service periods
Food preparation and general kitchen duties
Maintaining high standards of presentation and consistency
Keeping your section clean, organised and stocked
Following food safety and hygiene procedures
Working closely with our kitchen and front-of-house team
About you
We're looking for someone who:




Has previous experience working as a chef or experienced cook in a busy café or restaurant
Is comfortable working independently when required
Can stay organised and calm during a busy service
Is reliable and punctual
Has good communication skills and a positive attitude
Takes pride in producing consistent, valuable-quality food
Breakfast/brunch experience would be highly regarded.
