About the role
We are seeking a proactive and organised P&C; Operations Manager to support the effective day to day operations of our P&C; Association for a large primary school of approximately 900 students.
This varied role includes managing the P&C; Uniform Shop, overseeing compliance for the P&C;'s tuckshop operations, liaising with the school leadership team and assistance with fundraising, events and grants opportunities.
This is a strategic management position ideally suited to someone with previous experience in a business administration, operations management or a similar role.

Benowa State School P&C; is a not for profit association based on the grounds of Benowa State School.
We are committed to families, school and community working in partnership to support positive educational, social and wellbeing outcomes for students.
The P&C; is responsible for managing two core business services at the school, the tuckshop and Uniform Shop, and plays an significant role in fundraising for school projects and initiatives.
We work closely with the school and maintain a positive and productive partnership with the Principal and school leadership team.
Key responsibilities
Oversee and manage the day to day operational activities of the P&C; Uniform Shop
Develop, implement and monitor P&C; operational policies and procedures in line with relevant legislation, Department of Education requirements and P&C; governance obligations
Oversee compliance requirements relating to P&C; tuckshop operations, including food safety, workplace health and safety, and relevant regulatory obligations
Work collaboratively with the Tuckshop Convenor, other P&C; staff and volunteers
Manage P&C; budgets,



financial planning and resource allocation in collaboration with the P&C; Executive
Coordinate and supervise P&C; staff, supporting accountability, performance and professional development opportunities
Oversee P&C; facilities, maintenance requirements and workplace health and safety compliance
Liaise with external stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors and relevant regulatory bodies
Support the planning and delivery of P&C; fundraising activities, events and community initiatives
Liaise with the school leadership team on matters of shared responsibility and support collaborative planning where P&C; and school operations overlap
Foster a positive, collaborative and supportive working environment across the P&C; and wider school community
Research suitable grant opportunities and assist with grant applications, acquittals and reporting
About you
A positive, approachable and engaging personality, with the ability to bring energy and enthusiasm to P&C; activities and community events
Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
Proactive, solutions focused and comfortable taking ownership of tasks
Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to support, motivate and develop team members
Confident with stock management, purchasing, budgeting and basic business reporting
Sound understanding of compliance, risk management and workplace health and safety requirements
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, families, suppliers,



volunteers and the wider school community
Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and other relevant administrative, point-of-sale and management systems
Able to work independently while also contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
Knowledge of the Australian education system, school operations or P&C; environments would be advantageous
A tertiary qualification or experience in education, business management, public administration, finance, event management, government, retail operations or a related field is highly desirable.
