The Opportunity:
/n
We are seeking an experienced Grants Specialist to lead the identification, development and submission of high-quality grant applications across:
/n
/n
- Small and medium enterprises (SMEs)
/n
- Engineering and technology businesses
/n
- Community organisations
/n
- Not-for-profit groups
/n
- Schools and education initiatives
/n/n
This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate technical, commercial and community impact concepts into compelling funding submissions aligned to government and philanthropic priorities.
/n
Responsibilities
/n
/n
- Identify relevant grant opportunities across federal, state and philanthropic programs
/n
- Contribute to grant development including research, scoping, stakeholder interviews, drafting and submission
/n
- Develop strong value propositions tailored to business and NFP applicants
/n
- Translate technical engineering and commercial concepts into explicit, persuasive narratives
/n
- Prepare budgets in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders
/n
- Ensure compliance with funding guidelines and assessment criteria
/n
- Manage submission timelines and coordinate supporting documentation
/n
- Track grant outcomes and support acquittal reporting where required
/n
- Maintain a grants register across both brands
/n
- Contribute to internal capability development including templates, systems and process improvements
/n/n
Skills
/n
/n
- Proven experience writing successful government or philanthropic grant applications
/n
- Strong understanding of Australian federal and state grant programs
/n
- Experience working with both businesses and not-for-profit organisations (highly regarded)
/n
- Exceptional written communication and storytelling capability
/n
- Ability to interpret technical, engineering or commercial information
/n
- Strong budgeting and analytical skills
/n
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and interviewing skills
/n
- Highly organised with strong project management capability
/n
- Ability to manage multiple submissions simultaneously
/n/n
Casual/Part time role:
/n
Negotiable but looking at 2 days a week.
