Job Description
Commercial Lawyer | 4-10+ years' PAE – Part-time

Lawmee is a tech-enabled marketplace used by 250+ law firms and companies, providing lawyers with direct access to secondment and interim opportunities. The marketplace includes opportunities with ASX-listed companies, multinationals, GTEs, private businesses, and law firms.

About the role:
/n
Lawmee is working with a growing boutique law firm to secure an experienced Commercial Lawyer on a contracting basis.
/n
Commencing as soon as possible, this engagement is expected to run for 1-2 months, with the possibility of an extension depending on business requirements. They are seeking a part time lawyer who is available for approximately 8-16 hours per week.
/n
Working closely with the firm's Principal, you'll advise clients from a diverse range of industries and sectors, including: financial institutions, technology and online businesses, healthcare and health tech companies, insurance companies, consulting and professional services businesses, and manufacturing companies.

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
/n

- Advising clients on a range of commercial, intellectual property and technology-related matters.
/n
- Assisting clients with deal structuring, deal negotiation and strategy, and transaction support.
/n
- Providing strategic and legal advice in relation to a broad spectrum of commercial agreements – including shareholder agreements, founders agreements, procurement agreements, enterprise agreements, SaaS agreements, MSA's, SOW, supply agreements,
confidentiality agreements and NDAs, consulting agreements, and service agreements.
/n
- Advising in relation to IP agreements, IP protection and ownership, AI data licensing agreements, data sharing agreements, AI governance frameworks and policy development.

- Providing timely, pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice to clients across various industries.

Who we are looking for:
/n
We are interested in speaking with lawyers who have 4-10+ years' PAE, ideally gained within national, international or leading boutique law firms (or with relevant law firm experience who have transitioned in-house). The successful lawyer will have demonstrated experience advising on commercial law matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of commercial agreements.
