Salary per hour: $42.60 + superannuation + generous salary packaging options

Employment Type: Ongoing (flexible hours available)

Award: Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Health Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 -2028

Role description

Begin your nursing career with confidence through Boort District Health's Graduate Nurse Program. This program is designed to consolidate your nursing knowledge and clinical skills while supporting your transition from student to Registered Nurse. Working within a supportive rural health environment, you will gain valuable experience across a range of settings while developing professional practice, critical thinking, care coordination and collaborative healthcare skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver safe and effective patient-centred nursing care.
- Practice in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics and Standards for Practice.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and contribute to care planning.
- Apply evidence-based practice, clinical standards and guidelines to support quality care delivery.
- Develop analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and respond to patient needs.
- Participate in quality improvement, workplace safety and professional development activities.
- Engage actively in performance development and review processes throughout the graduate year.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in Victoria.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A willingness to accept feedback and actively develop as an early career practitioner.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Effective organisational and time management skills.
- A commitment to learning,
