About the business/role/team
The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) plays a critical role in Australia's financial and economic wellbeing. We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Team Leader, Desktop Services to lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering outstanding workplace technology services across the Bank.
Reporting to the Manager, Desktop & Mobility, you will play a key role in ensuring our desktop and workplace technology services meet the evolving needs of our people. Success in this role will come from your ability to build strong relationships, understand business requirements, influence outcomes, and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from frontline employees to senior leaders.

About the role
As Team Leader, Desktop Services, you will lead a team responsible for delivering and maintaining the Bank's end-user computing environment and workplace technology services.
Beyond managing day-to-day operations, you will act as a trusted partner to stakeholders across the organisation, ensuring technology services align with business priorities and deliver an exceptional user experience.
You will work closely with leaders, project teams, technical specialists, and business units at all levels to understand needs, communicate effectively, manage expectations, and drive positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and developing a team of desktop services professionals.
Building strong relationships with stakeholders across all areas and levels of the Bank.
Acting as the primary point of engagement for workplace technology and end-user computing services.
Partnering with business and technology teams to identify opportunities for service improvement and innovation.
Managing service delivery, incidents, problems, and change activities while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Influencing and driving outcomes across technical and non-technical teams in a complex enterprise environment.
Supporting the ongoing evolution of workplace technology services to meet current and future business needs.
About You
You are an experienced people leader who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. You are equally comfortable engaging with senior executives, technical specialists, and end users, and have a proven ability to build credibility, influence decisions, and achieve outcomes through collaboration.
You are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and understand the importance of balancing operational excellence with the needs of the business.
