- Salary: $86,601 - $124,725 + super + Middle Leader Allowance

About the opportunity

This is a continuing teaching appointment, with an initial appointment into the Middle Leader position including Middle Leader Allowance, concluding at the end of the current triennium (December 2029). Two subsequent three-year appointments with the Middle Leader Allowance can be offered subject to satisfactory performance in the position and the ongoing existence of the position.

As the Learning & Teaching Leader (Arts), the subjects you will oversee include the following:

- Drama Year 7-12
- Media Year 7-10
- Art Year 7-10
- Visual Art Year 11 & 12
- Visual Art in Practice Year 11 and 12
- Music Year 7-12

In this position you will be responsible for:

- Leading the designated curriculum area(s) taught in the school
- Applying contemporary learning and teaching research to classroom practice through career development of teachers engaged in the area(s) of curriculum responsibility
- Supervising and inducting teachers engaged in the area(s) of curriculum responsibility
- Analysing student performance data and addressing areas of concern through appropriate interventions




- Managing financial and material resources within the area of responsibility including the formulation of
- budgets and the expenditure of allocated funds.

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

- A minimum of 5 years teaching experience
- Developed work programs in alignment with national, state, and local requirements.
- Driving the assessment and moderation process when developing new programs.
- Leading and innovating within a specified curriculum area.
- Stakeholder engagement fostering collaboration and transparency.
- Having responsibility for a financial budget.
- For this position you are not required to be Catholic.

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
