About the Team
The Learning and Curriculum Unit sits within the Education Portfolio and supports teaching, curriculum and assessment in line with strategic direction and quality standards. The team partners with faculties, academics and professional staff to enhance learning and teaching and contribute to student success.

Job Purpose
This role provides leadership and strategic direction for curriculum design and transformation across the university. The incumbent will lead large-scale, cross-faculty projects that advance the quality, coherence, and future-readiness of UTS courses, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and academic excellence.
Role Responsibilities
Lead implementation and evaluation of curriculum transformation initiatives.
Guide course teams on curriculum quality and future readiness.
Support enhancement and renewal of courses and learning approaches.
Collaborate with faculties and key stakeholders to deliver learning and teaching initiatives.
Lead large scale curriculum projects and manage program delivery.
Provide advice and support on professional learning and development initiatives.
Monitor outcomes and support continuous improvement.
Detailed Description
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated capacity to lead large-scale curriculum transformation and course enhancement initiatives in a university setting.
High level of skill and ongoing interest in the design of innovative, future-focused curriculum, learning experiences and assessment to foster student learning.
Outstanding ability to influence, negotiate and collaborate with senior academic and professional leaders.
Extensive knowledge of approaches to learning innovation in higher education, including familiarity with blended, active and cooperative, practice-oriented, WIL, students as partners, inquiry-oriented and related approaches and expertise in one or more of these areas.
In depth knowledge of quality assurance, accreditation, and regulatory frameworks.
Experience in working effectively with staff who have a diverse range of familiarity and confidence in designing and facilitating student-focused learning experiences.

Remuneration/Salary
What We Offer
Base Salary Range: $143,080 - $149,894 (HEW9) plus 17% superannuation (pension)
The position is full time and will be made on a continuing basis.
