Westgold Resources is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Specialist to join our Commercial team. Reporting to the Group Manager Commercial, you will play a key role in delivering commercial value across the business through strategic sourcing, contract management, tender execution and supplier engagement.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships while influencing key commercial decisions.

About the Role

As the Senior Contracts Specialist, you will provide expert support, advice and challenge on commercial and contractual matters across the organisation. You will lead complex tendering activities, negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships and ensure commercial risks are effectively assessed and managed.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the tendering, evaluation, negotiation and award of complex goods and services contracts
- Deliver commercial outcomes that balance cost, quality, performance and risk
- Develop scopes of work in collaboration with operational stakeholders
- Coordinate recommendation-for-award processes and approvals
- Manage contract handover and execution planning activities
- Maintain and continuously improve the Group contracts database
- Identify and evaluate indigenous suppliers to support future sourcing opportunities
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive business outcomes

What do I need?

- Minimum 3 years' experience in a contracts, procurement or commercial role




- Demonstrated experience tendering & negotiating commercial contracts for complex goods and services.
- Sound understanding of contract law, contract structures and commercial terminology
- Experience drafting, reviewing and evaluating contracts
- Excellent communication, report writing and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail
- A proactive, resilient and self-motivated approach

Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Previous mining industry experience
- Diploma in Business Management
- Certificate in Supply Chain Management
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline
