About the role

This is a practical and varied marketing role. You will develop and coordinate marketing strategies that increase brand awareness, attract new business customers, encourage repeat orders and support the introduction of current products.

You will work closely with management, sales, purchasing, suppliers and operations to ensure that marketing activities reflect customer demand, product availability and the needs of restaurants and food service businesses.

Key responsibilities

1. Research customer needs, market conditions and food service trends across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
2. Identify opportunities to promote existing products, introduce new product lines and expand into new customer markets.
3. Develop and implement marketing plans, promotional calendars and campaigns that support the company’s sales and growth objectives.
4. Analyse customer purchasing patterns, product demand, competitor activity, pricing and seasonal trends.
5. Advise management on product mix, pricing, promotions, customer segments and suitable marketing channels.
6. Plan and coordinate campaigns across the company website, email, social media, digital advertising and printed promotional materials.
7. Manage SEO, SEM, Google Ads and social media advertising to improve online visibility and generate qualified business enquiries.
8. Create and coordinate product content, catalogues, promotional offers, email campaigns, website updates and social media posts.
9. Segment customers and develop targeted campaigns for restaurants, cafes, takeaway businesses, caterers and quick service restaurants.
10. Work with suppliers to develop product promotions, seasonal campaigns and new product launches.
11. Coordinate product photography, graphic design, copywriting and other campaign materials within approved budgets and timeframes.
12. Monitor website traffic, enquiries, campaign performance, conversion rates, customer acquisition and repeat purchasing.

Prepare regular marketing reports and provide practical recommendations to management based on campaign and customer data.
14. Review the performance of marketing activities and adjust campaigns to improve reach, engagement and return on investment.
15. Support customer events, product demonstrations, trade promotions and other business development activities.

About you

1. At least three years of relevant experience in marketing, preferably within food service, FMCG, wholesale distribution, hospitality supply or a similar industry.
2. A bachelor degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field is highly regarded but not essential.
3. Practical experience in developing and delivering marketing campaigns from planning through to evaluation.
4. Good understanding of market research, customer segmentation, pricing, promotions and product positioning.
5. Experience with SEO, SEM, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Search Console, Meta advertising, email marketing and content management systems.
6. Ability to analyse customer, sales and campaign data and turn the findings into practical marketing decisions.
7. Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and engaging marketing content.
8. Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools would be an advantage.
9. Good organisation skills and the ability to manage several campaigns, suppliers and deadlines at the same time.
10. A current driver licence and willingness to travel between business and customer locations across Brisbane and the Gold Coast when required.
