Are you a compassionate individual, eager to learn, and enthusiastic about contributing to the community? There to Care is seeking friendly, reliable casual support workers to make a real difference in people's lives. This role includes working across both Aged Care and NDIS supports.

We are looking for casual support workers who support people in the community who have become isolated due to age, disability, injury, or circumstance. Support workers will be helping people with activities that build independence, encourage social interaction, and allow them to enjoy life.

This role is for candidates who are willing to work anywhere in the Sydney area.

Your role and responsibilities:

In this position, your responsibilities could include:

- Companionship

- Life Skills Training (eg. teaching someone to take public transport)

- Social activities, like movies, fishing and going to galleries and museums

- Cooking and meal preparation

- Help with appointments (eg. doctors) and errands (eg. grocery shopping)

- Light exercise, such as walks

- Local transport and getting around

- Assistance with Cleaning (light housework)

- Assistance with Gardening

- Assistance with Personal Care





Role requirements:

Requirements for the role vary, based on what type of support services you would like to provide. This role includes working across aged care and NDIS supports. At a minimum, all applicants are required to have (or be willing to obtain) the following prior to starting work:

- The right to work in Australia and 100 points of identification.

- ESSENTIAL: An Australian driver's licence, and a registered and fully insured vehicle

- ESSENTIAL: Current First Aid and CPR certifications

- Certificate III or IV in Age Care, Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent

- Infection Control training

- A Police Check issued within the last 3 years

- A NDIS Worker Screening Check

- NDIS Worker Orientation Training

- 2 references

- Job Type: Casual

- Salary: $43.00 per hour + penalty rates as applicable (eg weekends, PH etc)

- Minimum 6 months experience in aged care, disability support, or community services is required

Work Location: in person at client's homes, in the wider Sydney region.
