The Opportunity

Our client is an industry leader in their sector with a strong reputation for success and innovation. Due to the imminent start of an exciting project, they are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Analyst to join a vibrant, cohesive team. This position will suit a candidate with solid commercial analysis and pricing skills within a products based business.

The Challenge

This is a great opportunity to use your commercial acumen and analytical skills to support senior sales stakeholders. You will play a lead role in providing commercial insight and advice to facilitate improved financial and business decisions.

As a key member of the commercial team, your responsibilities will include;

- Support the annual budget and monthly forecast processes.
- Provide P&L;’s and comparison to budget and forecast.
- Provide sales reporting at a national, state or customer view.
- Support the sales team by tracking actual sales against targets to support business growth.
- Work with the business to ensure financial targets are achieved, providing analytical support and insight to support decision making.
- Provide support to the Commercial Manager.
- Complete ROIC calculations to support the sales team in negotiating customer contracts.
- Assess, track and report on key business initiatives.




- Provide analysis on Capital Expenditure and ensure compliance with company policy and supported with documentation.
- Month end analysis of key operational measures and rolling monthly forecast updates.
- KPI reporting & monitoring

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

- Pricing experience
- Well-developed financial accounting, management accounting and financial planning & analysis skills;
- Experienced within a consumer products, wholesale, retail, manufacturing or FMCG industries
- Most likely you have experience in a large Australian company with a complex matrix structure; and
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
