As a Regional Liaison Officer, you'll support workers participating in the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) Scheme, helping them settle into their local community and providing practical, pastoral and wellbeing support throughout their time in Australia.

Whether you're assisting with transport to appointments, helping workers connect with community services, supporting their wellbeing or simply being someone they can rely on, every day brings something different.

This role is ideal for someone looking to pick up extra hours alongside another position, particularly if you have experience in community services, disability, aged care, multicultural services, healthcare or another people-focused field.

Because the role involves providing timely, face-to-face support when needed, we're looking for someone who is genuinely local to the Innisfail region.

What you'll do

- Build trusted relationships with PALM Scheme workers
- Provide practical, pastoral and wellbeing support
- Assist with appointments, transport and community connections
- Support workers with workplace and personal matters
- Liaise with employers and MADEC
- Promote worker wellbeing and workplace safety
- Be available for occasional after-hours support when required

About you

You'll bring:

- A genuine passion for helping people




- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience working with culturally diverse communities (highly regarded)
- Strong local community knowledge and connections
- The ability to work independently and solve problems
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel locally
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and email
- A current National Police Check
