Mincer/ Pick Packer / Meat Production Worker – Full Time

Established over 20 years ago, we are a family-owned business supplying fresh and frozen meat & poultry products to a variety of customers. Our company offers our valued customers freshness & quality of product, backed by friendly service.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Mincer / Pick Packer / Meat Production Worker to join our production team in Melbourne.

This is a permanent full-time position with an early 4:00 am start, suited to someone who is physically fit, dependable and comfortable working in a fast-paced meat production environment. Reasonable overtime maybe required.

Key Responsibilities

- Picking and packing customer orders accurately
- Cutting and trimming meat using knives
- Operating a mincer and assisting with meat preparation
- Weighing, packing and labelling products
- Heavy lifting and moving heavy tubs of meat and mince
- Loading and unloading products as required
- Some local driving and deliveries
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
- Working efficiently to meet daily production and dispatch deadlines
- Reporting directly to the Production Manager




- Assisting with other general production and warehouse duties as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

- Be reliable and punctual, particularly for a 4:00 am start
- Have previous experience in meat production, food manufacturing, warehousing or a similar setting
- Be confident and competent handling knives
- Be physically fit and capable of regularly lifting heavy tubs and boxes
- Be comfortable working in a chilled/cold production environment
- Have good attention to detail when picking and packing orders
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Have a strong focus on workplace safety and food hygiene
- Be willing to learn and assist across different areas of production
- Hold a current Australian driver's licence due to some driving duties

Previous experience with meat cutting, trimming, mincing or food production will be highly regarded.
