More about the team
Our support workers spend quality time with people living with dementia either in their home or out and about in the community. They aim to build relationships and promote independence for people in the early to mid-stages of dementia. There is no such thing as a typical visit as activities will be driven by the interests and enthusiasms of the people we support. It may be chatting at home or going out and about in the community, supporting clients to revisit past hobbies or try something new.
In 2022 Beyond Dementia's Home Support was a finalist in the national 3rd Sector Care Awards, and three individual support workers were finalists in the BBC's Make a Difference Awards. In 2017 our support workers and their managers were named Best Team in the Dementia Care Awards.
