Heritage Park Crematorium and Memorial Gardens is seeking a skilled and compassionate Cremator Operator & Groundskeeper to join our team in Goodna, QLD. This is a casual position that plays a vital role in providing dignified and respectful funeral services to families during their time of need. As a Cremator Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and professional operation of cremation equipment, ensuring that all procedures are carried out with the utmost care, precision and compliance with relevant legislation. The role also assists with the care and maintenance of our grounds to provide a calm and peaceful environment for families to visit with their loved ones. This position is essential to the smooth operation of our services and requires someone who understands the sensitivity and importance of this work.

Key responsibilities

- Operation and care of all cremation equipment including general maintenance and cleaning
- Ensuring all cremation procedures are carried out safely, professionally and with appropriate care and dignity
- Maintaining accurate records of all cremations, including identification verification and documentation in association with administration staff
- Completing regular equipment inspection checks and reporting any maintenance issues to management
- Processing and interment of cremated remains into appropriate containers and assisting as required with memorial placements within the grounds
- General Groundskeeping duties as required

What we’re looking for





- Previous experience as a Cremator Operator or in a similar role within the funeral services industry is well regarded
- Physically capable and willing to help out in a wide range of tasks to keep our facilities beautiful for our families
- Ability to work autonomously and with good time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Reliability and the ability to work flexibly
- Qualified, discrete and compassionate
