About the role

As an Operational Support Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting day-to-day operations of the BreastScreen Queensland Brisbane Northside Service. Working across both clinical and non-clinical environments, you will help maintain a clean, safe and well-equipped facility that enables the delivery of high-quality breast screening services to women across the community. This hands‑on role is responsible for a variety of operational support functions, including environmental cleaning, waste and linen management, porterage of equipment and supplies, and assisting with the stock control and maintenance of consumables.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

- Comply withand utilise procedures, policies,regulationsand standards whichimpactupon the position, including contemporary human resource management requirements and practices, such as workplace health and safety, Code of Conduct, equal employmentopportunityand anti-discrimination policies.
- Participation in in-service training as required ensuring compliance with all mandatory training requirements, and tocomply withall directions that arecommensuratewith the 002 level as outlined in thePatient Support Services Manual.




- Perform a range of basic non-clinical tasks including assisting the Service Manager to order/restock consumables and maintain equipment as needed to ensure continuity of service.
- Removal of general, clinical, and recyclable waste and soiled linen and the transportation of clean linento the designated stationsin accordance withInfection Control and local Guidelines.
- Porterage of pharmaceuticals and equipment, ensuring they are securely transported between BreastScreen Queensland and the hospital.
