Job Description

My Australia Direct O&S; Consulting Pty Ltd are seeking a full time Mechanical Engineer. The role includes the following responsibilities: Design and document mechanical building services systems. Prepare technical calculations, specifications, consultant advice notices and complete drawing packages for mechanical building services projects.

Perform heat load calculations and select appropriate mechanical equipment for building services applications. Design chilled water and packaged air conditioning systems. Provide technical advice to clients on mechanical engineering building services.

Coordinate mechanical engineering activities within multidisciplinary projects. Liaise with manufacturers and project stakeholders regarding mechanical engineering design and project requirements. Undertake due diligence assessments of prospective sites.

Conduct client-side peer reviews of mechanical engineering designs. Prepare feasibility, options analysis and master planning reports. Carry out defect inspections of mechanical building services installations.





Commission mechanical building services systems (ICA). Utilise engineering design software and documentation packages to develop project documentation. Apply Australian Standards and relevant codes in the design and delivery of mechanical engineering building services.

Skills and experience Degree qualified and at least 1 year experience

- Fundamental knowledge of Mechanical Engineering building services, including but not limited to;
- Heat load calculations,
- Equipment selection,
- Chilled water and packaged air conditioning design,
- Production of technical calculations, specifications, Consultant advice notices and complete drawing packages,
- Ability to utilise associated design software and documentation packages,
- Develop a solid working knowledge of Australian standards and codes,
- Liaising and coordination with other disciplines and project stakeholders,
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
