This is a hands-on People & Culture role for someone who understands that good HR needs to work for the business, not just follow a process.

You’ll work closely with the leadership team and managers across the operation, building engagement, strengthening culture and helping leaders take ownership of their people.

Our client is a well-established Queensland business with a strong history of its own and the backing of a larger Australian group.
It’s a practical, operational environment with many of the qualities you’d expect from a long-standing family business. They’re looking for someone who can help strengthen that culture as the business continues to evolve, without adding unnecessary corporate layers.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Build strong working relationships with managers and operational leaders
- Coach managers through performance, employee relations and day-to-day people matters
- Improve engagement and connection across the business
- Manage recruitment and find practical solutions in difficult candidate markets
- Support workforce planning, onboarding and retention
- Provide practical IR and compliance guidance
- Identify people issues early and recommend workable solutions
- Bring new ideas and external market knowledge into the business




- Improve processes without adding unnecessary complexity

What We’re Looking For
You’ll have solid People & Culture/HR experience, but just as importantly, you’ll understand business.
We’re looking for someone who can look beyond the HR process, understand what an operational manager is trying to achieve and come back with practical options and solutions.

Experience in manufacturing or another operational environment would be advantageous, particularly if you’ve worked closely with frontline leaders.
