Express Employment Professionals is recruiting an experienced Horticulture Supervisor / Land Care Supervisor for a permanent full-time opportunity with a growing facilities management organisation in Albury.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in horticulture, parks and gardens, landscaping or land care who enjoys combining hands-on work with team supervision, planning and client liaison.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of land care and grounds maintenance services, coordinate employees and workloads, communicate with clients and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of land care and grounds maintenance services, coordinate employees and workloads, communicate with clients and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Your Duties May Include

- Supervising and coordinating grounds and land care employees




- Day-to-day liaison with clients
- Planning and scheduling works
- Providing horticultural advice and practical recommendations
- Ensuring land care works are completed to schedule
- Monitoring quality and work outcomes
- Completing required operating system records
- Mowing and slashing grassed areas
- Edging paths, kerbs, fixtures and fence lines
- Planting, pruning, weeding, mulching and fertilising
- Maintaining gardens, landscaped areas, embankments and walking trails
- Weed, pest and plant disease control
- Safe herbicide application
- Trimming shrubs and trees
- Vegetation management
- Clearing drains, gutters, debris and green waste
- Hazard reduction and maintenance of fire breaks
- Minor repairs to fences, irrigation systems, pathways and garden infrastructure
- Operating mowers, brush cutters, hedge trimmers, blowers and chainsaws
- Maintaining tools, machinery and equipment
- Ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are followed.

To Be Successful, You Will Have

- - Diploma in Horticulture or equivalent Horticulture qualification
- Certificate III in Parks and Gardens or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated horticulture, grounds maintenance or land care experience




- Supervisory, team leadership or coordination experience
- Construction Industry White Card
- Current driver's licence with the ability to tow a trailer
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Ability to plan, coordinate and oversee works
- Strong safety focus and practical horticultural knowledge

Highly Regarded

- Certificate II or III in Horticulture or Landscaping
- Fell Trees Manually qualification
- Chemical accreditation
- Transport and Store Chemicals qualification
- Chainsaw competency
- Excavator or skid steer competency
- Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid driver's licence
- Working Safely at Heights
- First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- Previous land care or grounds maintenance supervisory experience.

- $80,000 - $100,000 plus superannuation
