About the role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Service Manager to join our team at Your Story Community Supports in Campbelltown, NSW. This is a full-time position with strategic importance to our organisation's ability to deliver exceptional services to our clients in the aged and disability support sectors.
As Service Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements whilst maintaining our commitment to person-centred care. You will lead and manage a dedicated team, driving continuous improvement and fostering a positive workplace culture that values the wellbeing of both our clients and staff. This role is pivotal in translating our organisational vision into practical service delivery that makes a real difference in people's lives.
Key responsibilities
Lead, manage and supervise a team of support workers and administrative staff, including recruitment, training, performance management and professional development
Oversee day-to-day service operations, ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with service agreements, funding requirements and quality standards
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and disability and aged care standards, including NDIS requirements where applicable
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that promote best practice and safeguarding across all service delivery areas
Monitor and manage budgets and financial performance, ensuring cost-effectiveness and accountability in resource allocation
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, carers and external stakeholders including government agencies and service providers
Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients and staff
Collect, analyse and report on key performance indicators and service quality metrics to support continuous improvement
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to strategic planning at an organisational level
Respond to complaints and feedback in a timely and professional manner, implementing corrective actions as required
What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years' experience in aged and disability support services management or a related social care setting
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation and standards, including the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission framework, Aged Care Quality Standards and disability support regulations
Proven experience in team leadership,
staff management and conflict resolution in a community services environment
Robust financial management skills with experience in budget planning, monitoring and reporting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse clients, families, staff and external agencies
Person-centred approach to service delivery with a genuine commitment to supporting individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations
Sound knowledge of risk management, safeguarding and duty of care principles in community services
Strong organisational and project management abilities with attention to detail and accuracy
Experience with data collection, analysis and quality assurance processes
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel within the Campbelltown area as required
Certificate IV or higher qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Community Services, Disability Support, Health and Human Services Management or equivalent) is preferred
