Position Descriptor: Oak Valley is a beautiful and very remote Anangu community in the Maralinga Tjarutja Lands, set on the edge of the Excellent Victorian Desert. We have a small and transient student cohort who speak Southern Pitjantjara as their first language, and English as a second or third language. Our students and families are proud of our school and the place it holds in our community. We are seeking an adventurous and driven educator to teach students from R-12, depending on the needs of the site. This is the perfect role for someone who thrives on variety in their days and teaching practice. New graduates are encouraged to apply. This role requires a willingness to develop authentic relationships with students, staff, families and community. It will involve working alongside Anangu Educators to deliver curriculum and high expectations of students. Understanding EALD strategies, trauma practices and collaborative practices are highly desirable. Bring your flexibility, teamwork, resilience and sense of humour to our wonderful school.

- Country Zone Allowance of $10,000 approx per year




- Locality Allowance of $10,000 approx per year
- Fully Subsidised Accommodation including all utilities (accommodation may be shared)

- Remission of Higher Education Loan Program Debts
- Reduction of Higher Education Loan Program (HELP) debts for teachers in very remote areas
