About the Role
Wehave an exciting opportunity for a passionate AccountsPayable Coordinator to lead and coordinate the City'sAccounts Payable function.
Reportingto the Service Lead Budgeting and Accounting , thisrole leads a small team responsible for the accurate and timelyprocessing of supplier invoices, creditor payments and relatedfinancial transactions. The position oversees the end-to-endaccounts payable function, including payment processing,reconciliations, governance reporting and audit support, whileensuring compliance with legislative requirements, policies andinternal controls.
Therole also manages the City's Corporate Credit Card Program andInsurance Claims function and plays a key role in drivingcontinuous improvement, service excellence and robust financialgovernance across the organisation.
About you
We'reseeking an experienced Accounts PayableCoordinator with a strong focus on leadership, customerservice and financial governance.
Inaddition to demonstrated experience, you'll need tohave:
- A post-secondary qualification in accounting, finance orbusiness.
- Experience leading or supervising a team in an accounts payableor finance environment.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles,
GST requirements andfinancial controls.
- Strong reconciliation, analytical and problem-solvingskills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagementskills.
- Experience improving processes and implementing continuousimprovement initiatives.
Salary and Benefits:
Starting from Level 5 Step 1 - Level6 Step 4 ($96,998 - $112,705) of the City of Cockburn IndustrialAgreement 2025, based on qualifications and experience.
