About the Role
As a Crew Member in the Parks team, you will play an importantrole in maintaining and enhancing the City's parks, reserves andlandscape assets. Working under the direction of the Coordinatorand Supervisor, you will undertake a range of horticultural andpark maintenance activities including planting, mulching, pruning,edging, weeding and mowing.
You will also participate in job rotation across the ParksServices team,
contributing to a flexible and multi-skilledworkforce that delivers high-quality outcomes for our community.This is a physically active, outdoor role that requires a strongcommitment to safety, quality workmanship and customer service.
What we’re Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively withcolleagues and members of the public
- Proven ability to complete work to required standardswithin agreed timeframes
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety proceduresand practices
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as partof a team
- Experience operating and maintaining parks equipmentincluding chainsaws, pedestrian mowers, ride-on mowers,hedgers, edgers and whipper snippers
- Knowledge of horticultural and turf management practices(horticultural qualifications highly regarded)
- Basic computer/IT skills, with the ability to learn newtechnology as required
- Relevant certificates, training or demonstrated industrycapability
- Current WA Driver’s Licence (MR Class Licence highlyregarded)
